Cycling and free time program

To help you better face the Stelvio Mountain Challenge, with its 36 hairpin turns, you can take advantage of optional training sessions two days before the race and choose according to your physical fitness. For the experts, the SENIOR route while the JUNIOR route is for anyone who is less physically fit.

Arrival in Bormio at your convenience.

WEDNESDAY, June 28, choose one of the following:

Gavia

  • Bormio-Gavia Tour: 26 kms/6.5%. JUNIOR Route                  
  • Mortirolo-Ponte di Legno-Gavia-Bormio Route; 115 kms/3.200 hm. SENIOR Route

This leg is part of the optional training for the Stelvio challenge.

Thursday June 29. You can choose:

  • The Cancano from Bormio Ascent. Total of 38km./8.2 ascent/6.9%. – JUNIOR Option
  • Alternative ascent Cancano from Bormio. Total of 50 km. SENIOR Option

The start is in Bormio. Total of 23 km/7.1%
Once the Stelvio Pass has been reached, you have the option of continuing to cycle along other routes.)

Arrival at one’s convenience in Bormio

Thursday June 29:


Meeting point at the Terme di Bormio (Bormio Springs) where race packs and bibs will be distributed and where you can enjoy a before dinner drink offered by Soccorso Clown Onlus. This will be followed by the show “La Giornata degli Sciocchi” (The Day of Fools) performed by our Clowns. Then the race format will be presented (in English and Italian). Free evening for dinner.

Friday June 30 – The Stelvio Challenge 2017:

Dott. Rufus
Final evening in Bormio for everyone. There will be music, awards and the Smile Lottery.

Saturday July 1:

Departure for home.

The Staff of Soccorso Clown Onlus has made arrangements with the hotels and restaurants in Bormio for their members and accompanying persons for the purpose of obtaining the best rates during the Stelvio Challenge.
